"Just when you think you've worked out where this music belongs, it lifts again, changes direction and escapes whatever box you were preparing to put it in.
For music this carefully grounded, Airborn spends a remarkable amount of time in flight."
Eddie Parker: flute, keyboards, piano, composer
Rob Luft: guitar
Dave Manington: bass
Jay Davis: drums
"Parker's restless musical curiosity shines through on Airborn. His partnership with Luft proves especially rewarding, and the quartet's chemistry gives Parker room to continue to explore new musical directions, often finding moments of beauty along the way."
"Paired with Rob Luft – whose typically virtuosic contribution more than earns his joint billing on the album cover – Parker’s deployment of a range of synth sounds against the über-guitarist’s vocabulary of FX pedals provides a stylish textural dimension to every one of the album’s 14 tracks."
